Our goal is to ensure you have a good experience shopping with us and that you are happy with your purchases. If an item is defective, we stand behind it for up to 30 days. Simply call us at (800) 243-5330 or (212) 243-5339 and explain the problem. We will send you a return shipping label to return the item to us. If possible, we will repair or replace it for you right away. Some manufacturers of items we sell may offer longer warranties, which will be included with the item when purchased. If more than 30 days has passed since your purchase, please contact the manufacturer directly for repair or replacement. Additionally, if we mistakenly send you the wrong item(s) we will send you a return shipping label to return the item(s) to us at our expense.
We try to ship orders within 24 hours of their receipt. However, our shippers pick up Monday through Friday, excluding US holidays, so if your order is placed on a Friday, for instance, it will be shipped the following Monday. You can choose the shipper and time frame of your shipment when you check out. A list of shippers, methods and costs will be displayed for you to choose.
Returns will only be accepted if accompanied by the original invoice and merchandise is in its original, salable condition. Returns within 14 days of purchase may be refunded, less any shipping charges, to the original form of payment. For your security, we do not store your credit card information, so if you are returning merchandise for a refund, please include your telephone number, email address, and the credit card information of the card you originally used to make your purchase (the credit card number, the name embossed on your card, the CVV number, and billing address) with your return. If you prefer, you may call us during regular business hours at (800) 243-5330 or (212) 243-5339 and give us this information over the telephone. Returns between 15 and 30 days after purchase date may be exchanged or you may choose to have a store credit issued. No returns will be accepted after 30 days. Custom or altered items, DVD's, sale items, or items that might come into contact with any bodily fluids (i.e., saliva, blood, urine, semen, vaginal fluid, fecal matter, etc.) are "final sale" and may not be returned, unless defective (as outlined above).
Shipping charges are not refundable unless the item is defective, or we sent you the wrong item. In either case we will send you a return shipping label, within 30 days of purchase date, to return the package to us at our expense. If you are returning an item to us for any other reason you are responsible for the shipping costs. When returning items to us, we strongly advise you to insure the package for the full retail value in case your package gets lost or damaged during shipment. We also recommend, for your protection, that you require a signature or proof of delivery. We are not responsible for items we don’t receive. Additionally, the shipper, not The Leather Man, Inc., is responsible for items lost or damaged in transit. We send all packages insured for the full retail value.
For international shipments, we must include documentation stating the contents of the package for Customs purposes. We are truthful when declaring package contents, but we will try to use terms that describe the contents without causing alarm. We have no control over Customs procedures, duties, taxes or fees charged by any government for imported products purchased on our Web Store. Please check with your local Customs Office about import fees and taxes before making your purchase so you are not surprised when your package is delivered, perhaps with additional money due. We are not responsible for packages that are opened or seized by Customs or any other government officials.
The Leather Man, Inc. does not make any warranties, expressed or implied, as to the safety of our products. Nor do we claim appropriateness for use of any of our products. All items are sold as “novelties only.” We accept no responsibility for any use or misuse, or for any injuries resulting from such use or misuse, of our products.
